This for anyone who wants to explore the river from Henley up or down stream and back.
Suitable for children - our suggested route: You will paddle upstream and through Marsh Lock then divert into the Hennerton Backwater, kingfishers, herons, and other wildlife can be spotted in this beautiful little-known backwater.
The St George and Dragon pub awaits thirsty paddlers. Check your timings at this point to see how long you can stop for, you may need to make your way back sooner than you think depending on how your paddle has gone. (Top Tip: Book a full day hire if you are stopping for food!)
On the return, take the main part of the river. Enjoy the faster travel speed traveling past Paul Daniels' house, through Marsh Lock and return back to Henley Canoe Hire.
